Marie founded the firm in 1995. She focuses her practice on health care administrative law and advocacy. Marie’s interest in government relations was piqued in college when she worked for Senator Walter “Dee” Huddleston’s office on Capitol Hill.

Throughout her career, Marie has played integral roles in many groundbreaking health care initiatives, successfully collaborating with providers and stakeholders across the health care continuum. Marie regularly represents clients from “the cradle to the grave,” from neonates, to children and youth in extended care facilities, to adults receiving substance use disorder services along with individuals facing end of life issues. Marie’s unique skill set of extensive legal knowledge and training, coupled with her expertise and relationships in the government relations arena, has allowed her to successfully advocate for clients’ positions before multiple state agencies and the Kentucky state legislature.

In addition to practicing, Marie serves as a Member of the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law Visiting Committee, where she was admitted to the law school’s Hall of Fame in 2011. Marie is also a founding member of the University of Kentucky’s Women & Philanthropy network and remains active in its mission. Marie has always been involved in her community and currently serves as a Chairperson of the Frankfort Urban Forestry Advisory Board, is president of the Capital Ovarian Cancer Organization, and is an active member of the Garden Club of Frankfort.

In 2022, Marie was recognized by the Kentucky Gazette as a Notable Woman in Kentucky Politics and Government. She has also been selected as a “Top Rated Health Care Lawyer” by Super Lawyers and as a “Best Lawyer in America.”
